This movie is "interview of plastic eraser". In the movie , the plastic eraser says "-Stony eraser is said that they can erase ink . But it is not erasing but shaving off paper . And correction fluid is said that they can erase ink too . But it is not erasing but lapping over - ". The way of erasing is not known by many people . So, I introduce it in this week .

①Why can eraser erase the word ?
Writing word is a mere situation that the corn of black lead sticks to the paper .Plastic eraser soaks up the corn with its surface and erases words .
②Does the corn of black lead change white corn ?
No , it does not .Platic eraser does not change color of the black corn but it soaks up black corn with its surface .When you beat the word that you want to erace with plastic eraser , the word is erased . Because the corn of black lead is soaked up by plastic eraser . But , this way can't erase perfectly .

③What is better way ?
Rub the paper with plastic eraser !At first , many corns of black lead stick to the surfase of plastic eraser . Second , the surfase  is shaved and is removed as waste . New surface appears and many corns of black lead stick to the new surface again .The repetition and rubbing paper removes the black corn that twists the fiber of paper.So , this way can erase words or pictures perfectly.

Today , I want to show you "Life of the plastic eraser(prosess of oroduction of eraser)"

Putting plastic material and plasticity drug into the mixer.

Mix materials and adjust hardness of plastic eraser by adjusting the way of adding heat and time of adding heat .

③Make shape
There are three ways of  making shape of eraser .



1.Osidashi-keisei(push out)
In this way , long fine eraser is made .

2.Attushyuku-keisei(pressure)
In this way , thin plate of eraser is made .

3.Shasyutu-keisei(pour)
In this way , standard shape of eraser is made.

④Cut！

Adding case or tape to the plastic eraser .

Japanese brush②

This　movie is Ooita highscool's Shodo performance in "Shodo performance Kousien" In Japan , Shodo is remarkable for sport . Shodo performance is very popular and  "Shodo performance Kousien" that is contest of Shodo performance  for high school students has held in Ehime since 2008 .
This week I introduce "Shodo Performance" , "Shodo performance Kousien" and the way of Shodo (continue a last week) .
①What is "Shodo Performance" ?
"Shodo Performance" is team sport .They practice Shodo on 4m×6m paper with beating time with their hands and dancing by following popular song .
②History of "Shodo performance Kousien"
"Shodo performance Kousien" is originated in Performance of Mishima high school's Shodo club .They performed Shodo performance as "Demonstration of Sho" in the Shopping mool .
Their performance became very popular , so it developed into main ivent of "Shikoku central paper festival" Let's watch the movie of  Mishima high school's performance .

After that , Shodo performance was broadcasted across all Japan .The TV program is very popular . And "Shodo performance Kousien" became a movie !!!

I think it is very good trend that many young people become to be intrested in Shodo !!

This week I introduce one of  "Wan hou"

枕腕法（Tinwanhou）
1.explanation
「枕」 means pillow. First ,you should put the back of your left hand on your right wrist with making the back of your left hand pillow and move right hand with left hand . This way is the posture that holds your hand on the position that is nearist to brush . So, top of brush is settled and you can write very small words with small brush .

2.best using situation
You want to write beautiful small words .

The way of holding brush

There are also the way of holding brush . I introduce two ways about holding brush .

単鉤法（Tankouhou)

1.explanation
You should use thumb and forefinger . First , you hold stem of brush softly by them . Second , you add other fingers to brush . Three fingers hold brush , so this way is suitable to write small words  and can unite with "枕腕法"(Chinwanhou) or "提腕法"(Teiwanhou) .Tankouhou is like the way of using pencil or ballpen .

双鉤法（Sokohou）

1.explanation

In this way , you should hold stem of brush  by thumb , forefinger and second finger and help it softly with third finger . In short , three fingers hold brush and other fingers help it . This way is suitable to write mild and strong words with using "懸腕法"（kenwanhou）.

Japanese Brush

I used Dr.Glip CL when I was a junior high school student . I think that you thought this is bad question .Sorry........But ! I want you to read my blog thorouhghly and know more and more stationery ! So , the answer is in this sentence "At 2006 , "Dr.glip CL" was sold . It was inventioned to student. It didn't have clip and had hole which can be added strap to .Why? The rason is no clip automaticprncil is easy to enter to pencase and can entertain users.I used "Dr.glip CL" in junior high school.  "
 
This week's theme is "Japanese brush". Have you ever used Japanese brush or practiced Shodo ? Shodo is Japanese old culture  and good handwriter in shodo is respected very much in Japan . So , I want to teach you the way to use Japanese brush .

Posture

 

In shodo , both the right posture and the way of holding brush is very important . Please awake to right posture . The beautiful word can be formed in right posture .

First , sit down in front of the desk . At the point , you should keep the distance that your fist can enter between you and desk . Second , you relax and stretch your back and lean a few degree (about 15 degree) . Right posture makes your sight wider and you can look aroud the paper . So , you can wright eloquent free words by large stroke . Posture is your mind to Shodo and it is very important in aspect of sprit .The most important point is writing with your hole heart !!!

 

 

 

 

Stance of brash

In Japan , The improvement  is called "rasing arm (Ude wo ageru)"
In fact , the word is born from Shodo and points to improvement  of Shodo . Ude is  the part from wrist to elbow when you practice Shodo .
It is important that you relax and make natural posture .Hold the center of brash and confront Japanese paper .
There are a few the way of  arm posture "Wan-hou".
This week I introduce two type of "Wan-hou".

 

懸腕法（Kenwanhou）

1.explanation

In this way , you should keep your elbow from touching desk and write words .Brush don't stick firmly to your body . You can do dynamic stroke by using all body above sholuder .

2.Best scene of using
In particular , When you want to write large words , "Kenwanhou" is the best.
3.Point
Imagine your arm is hung from the roof .

 

提腕法（Teiwanhou）

 1.explanation

In this way , you should keep few distance duaring your elbow and the desk and write words . It has the merit that brush can settle than Kenwanhou .

2.Best scene of using

In particular , When you want to write small words or Kana-moji.
3.Point
Make the bearing on the arm (from elbow to wrist )

This week topic is automatic pencil part 2. I want to introduce two Japanese hi-quality automatic pencil "Kurutoga" and "Dr.glip".
①Kurutoga
Kurutoga is very revolutionary automatic pencil. If you use kurutoga , you can wright words sharply. I introduce its mechanism.
1.What is "Kurutoga engine"?
"Kurutoga engine" is automatic lead turning structure. This is the first structure which notice the point of automatic pencil's lead and is developed . There are three gears in the structure.The central gear that joins to lead goes up and down depending on stress of writing .Up and down gears make the central gear and lead turn by biting . Kurutoga's lead turns an angle of 9 degrees by one writing .

②Ｄｒ.grip
Dr.grip may be most famous automatic pencil in Japan . When you use a nomal automatic pencil , you have to knock automatic pencil to take out lead . But Dr.glip breaked its common sense !!!! Dr glip doesn't need knocking .You can take out lead from automatic pencil by shaking it .
1.Ｉｎｔｒｏｄｕｃｔｉｏn ~ Dr.glip is 22 years old ~
"The father of "The automatic pencil that is kind to neck and sholder arm" is Dr.glip "
Before Dr.glip was sold the main type of ballpen is like pencil .At the time , people who work in the job that has to write many copy of slip in a day have no choice but the thin bollpen like pencil . But thin ballpen is not adequate to use long time or strong writing stress. So , many people strained their hands . Dr.glip was inventioned to ease these symptom . It sought the shape that dosen't task  hands  from  the human engineering point of view and discovered original glip diameter. Moreover Dr.glip adopted rubber which has fitting and spring and does not slip as glip .
Althogh , at present , a normal ballpen or automatic pencil which has glip rubber and is thick stem are regard as natural , the father  of them is  Dr.glip.
2.History of Dr.glip
The first Dr.glip (ballpen version) was born in 1991
At 1992 , Automatic pencil version  Dr.glip was ininventioned . It had special function "FureFure" . This function is needless knocking automatic pencil syatem.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　At 1994 , new Dr.glip which has antibacterial effect. It is also revolutionary !!!!!!
At 2006 , "Dr.glip CL" was sold . It was inventioned to student. It didn't have clip and had hole which can be added strap to .Why? The rason is no clip automaticprncil is easy to enter to pencase and can entertain users.I used "Dr.glip CL" in junior high school.  "CL"=CLIPLESS , CLEAR , LIGHT.

Dr.glip has evolved for 22 years along the flow of era.

Automatic pencil

Last week's answer is "Carbon".Diamond is substance of carbon .
But we cannot use diamond to write . WHY? Because, diamond doesn't have same structure of black lead.The structure of black lead is very weak,so we can write by its peeling off and entering into fiber of paper . But ,you know,diamond is very hard.OK?

Ｓｏｒｒｙ！Ｉｔ　is Japanese movie.This movie seemed to be stupid.
But, you can understand infinite potential of automatic pencil in this movie .If you have a time , I want you to make new automatic pencil. 

This week's topic is automatic pencil and I have two subtopics today.First, I introduce the history of automatic pencil in the world and in Japan.
①Keeran, in the USA, made 'Ever Sharp' public 100 years ago.

It is the first automatic pencil .And Hayakawa Kinzoku(the Japanese major company 'SHARP' at present) sold the first automatic pencil in Japan at the era of Taisyo.In 1960, Japanese company invented and sold knock system automatic pencil.There was no lead expect 0.9 mm lead in these days.So , automatic pencil cannot spread.But 0.5 mm lead was invented and it became to be daily thing.WHY?Because 0.5 mm lead is adequate to write in Japanese.Which size of lead do you use every day ?Maybe , you use 0.5 mm lead.
Second , I introduce  some troubles of  automatic pencil.

1.　You　can't  take out lead from automatic pencil.

First , make sure that there are some lead in lead tank and size of lead. You cannot use 0.7mm lead in 0.5mm automatic pencil .

Is pipe of point bent ? Did you drop or hammer your pencil ? If you did , the pipe transforms . In case that snapped lead  is  choken up , you should get off cone of its top by turnning left and remove ruin of leads from top .

2. Lead withdraw to automatic pencil.

The reason that short lead cannot catch lead fly .But , if your automatic pencil has long leads and withdraw happens , your automatic pencil dosen't have ability of holding lead or ruin of leads attaches to fly and makes it slippery.

3.Leads shakes , when you use automatic pencil .

When leads become short and catch on fly , only one pipe holds lead. So, leads shake. Long lead don't shake . Because long lead is holded by both pipe and fly .

4.Lead is easy to snap

Does your automatic pencil have loose top cone? Loose top cone causes snapping lead. And , make sure whether top pipe is bent or not.

Pencil has a variety of faces. Have you known ? This movie is one of the pencil art. When I watched it first time , I was surprised "Are they pencils ? Oh no ,　it is unbelievable ".I will be happy if you are interested in pencil after you watch this .
Today's main topic is Pencil.
I have three subtopic this week.

①Relationship with paper
Paper is made with infinite fine wood pulp.When people write paper in pencil , pencil lead is rubbed into the paper. In other words , black lead witch is chipped off with clay enter into the fiber of paper. Once it enter into paper , it isn't able to erase  by slight rubbing. The word that is written in paper and isn't able to erase is not able to write on plastic. For example , when you use pencil on plastic , pencil lead and clay are leaved on plastic.There is no guard on plastic , so black lead don't leave as words.

②The reason for paling words which were written by pencil.

Have you experienced some words you wrote in notebooks many years ago become obscure ?WHY?WHY?WHY?There is a reason in the way pencil lead enters into fiber of paper.Main element of black lead which is material of pencil lead is C(carbon).Carbon is pigment , so , strictly speaking , pencil lead is not enter into fiber of paper , but attaches to paper and it doesn't soak into the most deeply point of the paper . Especially , dark pencil lead has possibility of paling. If you want to prevent words from weathering , you need to cover paper with clear paint .

③The way of using pencil
Do you have confidence in your using pencil style ? I don't have , and I have ever seen many style . So I introduce perfect style.
Point①
First , you put your forefinger on 25mm from point of pencil .Second , you put your thumb on the behind of forefinger and put middle finger on the front of forefinger .You hold pencil by these fingers softly .You bend your third finger and little finger along midle finger .

Point②
You　hold pencil along your forefinger.
Point③
If you hold pencil by the right way , the stem of pencil will incline 60°　to　the paper. You should incline pencil 20° to right.

If you master this holding style , you will be able to wright beautiful words. And , when you become parent , you must teach the way of holding pencil .So , this lecture will be useful.

Do you know who was the first user of eraser?
We don't know stationery's history , although  we use them every day!!
So let's learn history together !!

This　week , I choice two main theme.
①pencil
1.origin
In 1564,black material was discovered in M.t Borodel in the UK , and people tried to use it for writing!
The black material is black lead.
Do you know black lead ?
It is the material that is used for pencil lead,so people discovered they can wright with black lead and it became to use for writing .
But black lead make hands dirty ,so , in 1565 ,people put it into wood or  wrapped a cloth around it !
This is beginning of pencil !!!
2.happening
People had used black lead for 200 years.
But there were  no black lead in M.t Borobel in 1765.
Why?  →　People used up all black lead in M.t Borobel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every thing has the end.......................................
NO!NO!NO!  Pencil revived !!
Napoleon commanded Nikoras Konte and Kasper Farver to revive black lead.
They collected pieces or powder of black lead in the other mountain and  mixed with clay to make pencil lead !!!
They also discovered the way to change thickness of lead.
How excellent its history!!!!

②Japanese Brush

1.origin
The story that a general Mouten in Qin(China) is the first maker of brush is very familiar with everyone. But , in fact , ancient Chinese inscriptions on bone and tortoise shell which was written by using brush in the era of In (BC1600~BC1028) was leaved , so it is familiar with some people that there have been brush since the era of In. More over there are some pattern which were seemed to be written by brush in neolithic pottery.

2.In Japan
In , Japan ,  'Tenpyoufude' in Syousouin are the oldest Japanese brush and it is made of rabbit , deer ,  raccoon dog .
It is not sure that Brush came to Japan , but  according to  literature ,Japanese people started to make Brush until 'Taiohounennkann'(AC701~704)
In 812 , Kuukai gave mikado raccoon dog's brushes which was made in the way that was
called 'zouhituhou' and was born in Tou (China) .
So we can guess that high level skill came to Japan from China or Korea and it affected Japanese culture.
In these days , Japanese People came to begin making Japanese brush in the whole country and often use deer's brush which is suitable to write Hiragana.
 In Edo era , high quality brushes was made as side job of  samurai .
3.The change oh the manufacturing method and materials
 
Current main type of Brush (Mizufude , Musinfude) has started since Meiji era in Japan . this type can absorb black ink into the root.
